Colonel Boldwig-Smythe and son Giles are in Transylvania, attempting to locate the "hideous Two-headed Monster". They believe that he is in Castle Frank N. Stein, but the colonel's Monster Detector is failing to work (possibly because the batteries are flat). Despite Giles spotting obvious signs pointing to the castle, Boldwig-Smythe decides to ask for directions in the Castle View Tea Shop. Inside, the colonel asks the waitress for the way, but his request makes her drop her tea in shock and the other customers begin whispering. Their scared faces make him believe that the rumours are true, although the waitress reveals that tonight is the night that Professor Frank N. Stein practises his yodelling.
