On September 9, 2009, the Taiwanese Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) established the Cloud Computing Center for Mobile Application (CCMA) to promote Internet-based, on-demand computing (cloud computing) as a catalyst for strengthening Taiwan's software capabilities.
