A stellar cartographer was a type of astronomer who specialized in stellar cartography, that is, one who mapped and created star charts. In 2152, the crew of Enterprise NX-01 rescued three Takret Militia deserters, named Renth, Rellus Tagrim, and Guri, from an incoming class 5 neutronic storm. When it was revealed that they were from the distant Takret system, they explained that their work as stellar cartographers often took them far from home.
