Tragically, the group wouldn't last long. After a mishap during a battle against a crew of pirates, a crew of Marines appeared and, in the name of the World Government's doctrine of Absolute Justice, not only ended up killing the pirates, but Shin as well. After grieving and mourning the loss of his closest friend, Ika chose to disband the Shin and Ika Hunters, and restart his bounty hunting career with the Ika Bounty Hunters.
