Geist is German for "Spirit". In the anime version, it is renamed as Phantom Dive (ファントムダイブ Fantomu Daibu), probably to amend the Belkan (German) word as Midchildan (English) word in light of its magic system. It is not known whether the manga version will make such revision in the future releases.
