James Ottaway was born 25 July, 1908 in Chertsey and died 16 June, 1999 in London. He was an English actor who has been in Casualty, The Bill, A Touch of Frost, Minder, Agatha Christie: Poirot, Boon, Angels, The Gentle Touch, Hi-De-Hi!, Z Cars, Softly Softly, Dad's Army, The Saint and Hancock.
