The Languages of the Eastern Mannish branch are a family of closely related languages, they are thought to have split from the main mannish line very early and therefore have some very big differences (cf. Alamannish : -uz with High Mannish: -i for making pl.) The only languages still in common use are Alamannish which is a derivative of Old East Mannish and Middle Mannish which derives from Old Middle Mannish. Their parent languages, O.E.M and O.M.M have more in common than what Alamannish and Middle Mannish have. e.g O.E.M: Könuz & O.M.M: Köniz with Alamannish: Könuz & Middle Mannish: Koenyz.
