First Stand-Off Between Gibbs and Ari Haswari is an incident that occurred in March 2004 in which NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs confronted unidentified terrorist Ari Haswari with the two men engaging in a duel and which also took place during the NCIS Hostage Crisis. The stand-off ended with Ari shooting Gibbs in the left shoulder, prompting the FBI Hostage Team to storm the morgue, ending the hostage crisis although Gibbs was left injured as a result.
