Since they were Apprentices at the time, it is doubtful they did stand on the Island. Hey, even if they were apprentices, I don't think Roger would order them to stay on the Oro Jackson. And even if they didn't walk on Raftel's ground, being arrived with the ship is the same thing. if they were among the jolly roger pirates who reached the raftle,,they will probably know the secrets of one piece..but they dont so they probably not with the pirates who reach raftel..
