Karm'atch-tek, "chasing tomorrow", was the nezumi term for those who died in I'thich, and after they awakened had turned and met their fates, instead to flee their doomed fate. They were the only ones who had the slightest chance of survival after such event. Those who did not follow the "chasing tomorrow" seldom lived more than a year before meeting a grisly demise in the real world.
