Eaglemon is a Giant Bird Digimon whose Japanese name is derived from "border crossing", and whose English name and design are derived from the Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos). It was adopted from a winning entry in the "Digimon Web Dot-art Contest" which belonged to Shun Nabetou from Fukuoka prefecture. Its body is clad in gold armor made of Chrondigizoit, so it deflects every attack. Also, Eaglemon is said to be a form of the Ultimate Digimon "Parrotmon" that digivolved. It is said that it is Eaglemon's duty to annihilate the invaders that enter the Digital World.
