Munson was a Starfleet ensign assigned to Deep Space 9 in 2370. He piloted a runabout that transported a Bajoran vedek and the monk, Taren Gis, to DS9. He later piloted the runabout that took Major Kira Nerys and Vedek Torin to the surface of Bajor. He beamed Kira, Talis Cedara, and Talis Dejana to the runabout when Kejan Ulli presented himself.
