Lots of characters, species and places have recognizable origins - Trolls are very much the norse beastie of legend, and Gruffs are just as recognizable from the nursary rhyme. However, there are beings like Mab and Titania who show up in older legends (Titania in Midsummer Night's Dream, for one) but are less well known today. It might be worth adding a section to character/species pages outlining their origins enough that those who are interested can find out more. (Personally, I'd love to hear some of the stories that inspired Mab, and I wonder if Nicodemus is based on anyone specific.) Rashkavar (talk) 22:22, December 12, 2014 (UTC)
