Phaere was a female Drow who resided in Ust Natha. She was a member of the Despana house in the city. At some point in her life she was captured by Illithid in the Underdark, and remained captive until she was rescued by Solaufein and Gorion's Ward, under the disguise of a male drow. Earlier in her life she also had feelings for Solaufein, but her thirst for torture rendered the feelings useless. She gives several quests relevant to the main plot of getting the protagonist and party back to Amn from the Underdark. She also attempts to sleep with male protagonists; this can end some romances.
