The Society of Structural Engineers was a building that was helmed by the Society of Structural Engineers, which was built upon stilts on the slope of a mountain. In a tragic sense of irony regarding who helmed the building, however, the building's struts broke off, causing the building itself to fall down and smash to pieces. It was later shown on the late night TV program When Buildings Collapse that Bart, Lisa, and Homer saw.
