In 1942 the Nazi army made a major victory against the Soviet city of Stalingrad and continued to push to Moscow, throwing the Russians all the way beyond the Ural mountains. In 1944 D-day was a huge disaster resulting in the USA pulling out from the war and in 1947 the British Isles was invaded and conquered.
