Morton 'Morty' Berger was a Defense Attorney who is known for taking on cases with sensitive issues. Berger went up against A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot during the trial against the transgender Cheryl Avery. He claimed that he wanted to become a lawyer to change societies misconceptions about what's normal. In reality he only wanted to further his own political agenda, and lied to his client on several occasions. In court, the jury would find his client guilty.
