NSDF Oegwa Uisa (외과 의사, English:Surgeon) is the first purpose-built hopsital ship in the East Asian Federation Naval Self-Defense Force. In compliance with the second Geneva Convention, chapter 3, the Oegwa Uisa is not equipped with armament, and its crew does not carry ordinance of any kind. As such, a combatant firing upon the Oegwa Uisa is a war crime. The Oegwa Uisa is considered the world's most advanced hospital ship. Its capabilities rival, and in some cases exceed, the capabilities of a traditional land-based hospital, and is used for the treatment of wounded soldiers, allies and enemies alike, in combat.
