The Rampart Shield is simple in concept and design. Meant exclusively for use by the Blood Marauders, it is little more than a thick slab of reinforced durasteel used to block incoming enemy fire until the Blood Marauder can get up close and use the Marauder Scythe. In this job it excels since it is thick enough to resist all handheld weapons. Even lightsabers have trouble cutting through them because of their thickness. Only heavy weapons from war machines and artillery stand a chance of piercing through it, but at that it usually takes more than a few shots from all but the most powerful weapons.
