Restaurant of the Revolution is an anime that was written, directed, and created by Akira Jotaro who also created the anime Dokuganryu-hime, Forever Dark, and Red Eyes. The story takes place the early Bakumatsu era of Japan in Tokyo about a Chinese restaurant called Chunmei (meaning: Spring Beauty). The story is about a young Chinese man from Beijing who travels to Japan to start a restaurant business after getting an investing from a Japanese food critic.
