Summon Undead Champion was a Mastery 1 maho spell which created a zombie if used on a recently deceased creature or a skeleton. The "champion" would follow the mental commands of the caster, as long as the caster remained within a short distance of the champion. If the champion was too far away from the caster it would begin to kill everything in sight. There were other spells which could allow the caster to control the champion when it was further away.
