Gripleaves were an aggressive plant native to Haruun Kal. They were vines that would trap a passer-by and suspend them several meters above the jungle floor, within easy reach of predators. They had waxy leaves, and their vine fibers were nearly as strong as durasteel cable. During the Summertime War, the guerrillas would hang the dead carcasses of their foe by the neck with these vines.
