Ruth Carnegie (née Scott) (1882-1968) was a politician active in the Hampstead area. In 1917 she married Herbert T Carnegie, then vicar of Holy Trinity, Latimer Road, Notting Hill. In 1926 he was appointed vicar of Hampstead, later becoming a prebendary of St Paul's Cathedral, and holding the post until his death in 1954. Ruth became an alderman of Hampstead Borough Council, and served as Mayor of Hampstead in 1946-47.
