This kind of light bulb is usually made of glass with a few gasses besideds air inside it. It obviously used alternating Current, and has a point on the bottom and one the side that electricity can flow through. They use a fillement mad of Tungsten, which heats up, and turns heat energy into light energy, but uses almost half of the power on heat energy. Most Christmas Lights are Incandescent.
