Charmian May (16 June 1937 – 24 October 2002) was an English actress who appeared in The Good Life, Keeping Up Appearances and Bridget Jones's Diary. She played Miss Pentangle in The Worst Witch and Prof. Alicia Thunderblast in Weirdsister College. Among her many roles in a career of nearly thirty years were: * Celia Brabazon in The Dawning * Mrs Weaver in two episodes of The Good Life * Mrs Councillor Nugent in three episodes of Keeping Up Appearances * Mrs Darcy in Bridget Jones's Diary She died in Purbrook, Hampshire in 2002.
