Awn was a rare enchanted elm originally native to cool, temperate forests, later cultivated, although with some difficulty. It was shorter than most elms, rarely exceeding 30' tall. Its emerald green leaves were veined and edged in reddish gold, turning entirely red-gold in autumn. A tea brewed from awn bark (the soft inner part) could rejoin severed limbs, acting as all the necessary "Joining True" spells simultaneously.Even small overdoses of awn tea were dangerous.
