The guild was formed by friends coming together, and being friendly to others... the true beginning was long before then, during wars, as Assimilator was part of the Borg Collective; making enemies with locals, and then transforming enemies into friends. Some of the friends all agreed that it could be interesting and powerful for them all to forge a guild that was based in just one galaxy and had positive ties to several strong guilds, specifically the guilds that these friends came from.
