The Association des Utilisateurs d'Internet (Association of Internet Users) (AUI or UIA) was founded in February 1996 to promote the development and democratization of the use of electronic communication networks, including the Internet. As such, the Association undertakes actions to promote the defense of the principles of cooperation and openness of the Internet, and the rights of its users, the organization and support of activities to achieve its purpose.
