In September 2012, Andrew Dawson filed for copyrights to the name Crossfire Pro Wrestling and began to quickly scout talent for the promotion. Andrew would search for a business partner in Levi Adams for extra help running the company. On October 3, Andrew would sign his first star in to CPW. After signing the first six stars to the roster, CPW confirmed on their Social Media site that Crossfire would begin its endeavor into the wrestling world with the inaugural event "Down With the Sickness".
