This text is a rough draft version about an ongoing project, the information may be out of date. Locus Amoenus is an administrative region of an over-arching government in SL, called Confederation of Democratic Simulators (CDS), currently comprising Locus Amoenus, Alpine Meadow, Colonia Nova and Neufreistadt. The sim is adjacent to Colonia Nova and inspired by a Roman Empire theme as well. It extends the east-west road out of the gates of Colonia Nova, adding villas around the river, and finally meets the sea shore, where some piers is built. In the middle of the river is a theatre for staging nautical battles, a popular sport by the Romans.
