A repulsor stick was a popular children's toy produced throughout the Galactic Republic. The device consisted of a meter-length pole with hand grips and foot pedals, with a single repulsorlift coil mounted on the bottom end. When activated, the repulsor stick would hover upright, with a rider using their own body weight to propel the machine into the air. By shifting one's body weight and how they stood on a repulsor stick, a limited degree of forward, backward or lateral movement was also possible; used in this manner, it became a crude form of repulsorcraft. Such movement was difficult to master at first, and required a good sense of balance.
