Daniel Patrick was a resident of Chamberlain, Maine. He attended Kennedy Junior High School with Tommy Ross and Pete Taber. In the sixth grade, he beat Ross up; later, he was, in turn, beat up by Taber, and Ross took the opportunity to kick Patrick in the ribs while he was unconscious.
