Thirteen years after Emergence Day, the commander of Chevron Company was briefed alongside several other officers and unit commanders by Col. Victor Hoffman on the progress of the campaign to retake the West Barricade and the Andius highway. The Locust's Reaver force had been destroyed, clearing the way for ground forces to move in. Chevron Company was assigned to work with Connaught Company to flank Locust positions on the Andius highway, pinning them between the two units.
