Herut was part of a task force sent to greet and/or kill the Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. He was led by Wehutti. The other members of the task force were Moahdi and Kejas. Herut came to dislike Kenobi after the two Jedi attacked the task force in a misunderstanding that they were Daan enemies.
