Exit 34 of the Cross Island Parkway is the first north-south exit on the Cross Island. It is for the Utopia Parkway in Queens. The northbound exit also provides access to Francis Lewis Boulevard. Exit 34 going northbound is about a 1/2 mile from Exit 34 going southbound, thus having a no-form intersection. Before the Cross Island Parkway was aligned with the Belt Parkway, the exits were aligned with the Southern State Parkway. Due to the SSP alignment, this exit was known as Exit 3.
