Bruno Mars is a Hawaiian singer-songwriter of Filipino and Puerto Rican origin. Peter Gene Hernandez, known better by his stage name Bruno Mars was born October 8, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Being born into a family of musicians, Hernandez started making music at a very young age, His father, Pete Hernandez, played the percussion, and his mother, Bernie Hernandez, was a hulu dancer. Both being performers, they met at a show, and fell in love henceforth having Peter. Bruno Mars got an early start performing and dancing, and in 1990, when he was five years old, he was featured in Midweek as "Little Elvis" for his Elvis impersonation, which first surfaced when he performed with his family band, Love Notes, at age four.
