A War Effect or a War Ability is an effect or bonus that a particular character contributes to a unit in a large-scale battle. Although War Effects are typically associated with a Rune of significance, they are actually linked with the character placed in the unit, and have the effect of greatly altering the capabilities and usefulness of that unit.
