The Hoctal-class transporter pad is a large cargo transporter facility on a Klingon colony which transports cargo, resources and other goods between the planet and orbiting starships. The Hoctal facilities are often common on fledgling colonies that are completely reliant on external support to survive. This debt is repaid when the colony becomes self sufficient and starts exporting goods off-world to other parts of the Klingon Empire.
