March 15, 2009: A US amphibious assault of the Havana was made, where Cuban forces were caught by surprise, but Raul Castro was still able to escape. The United Nations, especially Russia, were angered by the invasion, as in the Cuban Missile Crisis, the United States promised never to invade Cuba. March 16-19, 2009: American forces continue their push into Cuba,capturing the Pinar del Rio province, and the city of Matanzas. Raul Castro waits for the reply of the United Nations,which will vote in the 24th of March whether if they should help Cuba or not.
