Emperor's Sword was an Imperial Navy squadron of elite TIE pilots who served as Emperor Palpatine's personal escorts. However, they often were sent to fight against the Alliance to Restore the Republic for the Galactic Empire. The squadron was composed of veteran ace pilots, each of whom had at least 18 kills. Their fighters were unmarked and looked like average ships, to make Rebel Navy pilots more paranoid by making them know that any TIE squadron could be them. It saw action during the Galactic Civil War, but was disbanded following the Battle of Endor. It was later recreated under the Imperial Remnant by former member Marek Vaiken Stele, as the Emperor's Shield, but had mostly different members.
