R2-D30, nicknamed Dirty, was originally the astromech droid attached to Dav Man'Sell's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class starfighter during the Clone Wars and years that followed. With assistance from famed "Jedi Droid" Tonaris Phedi, the Droid was, some decades later, removed from the Starfighter housing and installed in a standard Astromech's body, allowing Dav to use the dedicated little droid in his Dragon Squadron X-Wing Starfighter. Dirty remained Dav's loyal companion throughout many adventures, gaining a strong independent streak, and a quirky, determined personality.
