Bjæwnesmal is a story within the Hrundinga cycle. It is the third story in the cycle, although some of the events in the tale predate the first story. It tells of Bjæwn, a valkyrja, whose life was deeply intwined with the Hrundings. The story begins with Bjæwn's life in the Land of Eversky, from where she journeyed to the Gaard. As she is practically immortal, er tale spans centuries, where as the other centeral characters of the cycle live only decades. Her death is told of in Skjebne av Untunger. She was one of the first people to possess the Aegishjalmer.
