Barney Gumble is seen driving this car for the first time near the end of “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire”. He presumably purchased the car after a successful gamble at the Springfield Downs. It is seen as Homer and Bart Simpson search amongst discarded tickets for a winner. Barney then drives past the two, offering his sympathies. With him is a girl named Daria. It is assumed she is a one-night fling as she is never seen again, nor is the car. It can also be assumed Barney somehow loses the car, as he is seen in later episodes relatively immobile and poor.
