Horace Wilcox was Springfield's local congressman before he died. The Simpson family went to see him about the planes going over their house, and he died from a heart attack after Homer failed to give him CPR. He was replaced by Krusty the Clown. He joined Congress in 1933, and left Congress (deceased) in 2003. He would have had to have been at least 25 to be eligible to be seated in Congress. His seventy years in Congress plus at least 25 years before, means that he was at least 95 years old at the time of his death.
