Gone West was a Georgeland television series, which ran from 1993 until 1996 on GTV. The show starred Rick Clay as Will Jones, an Australian civil servant who was now living in Topstad, working at the Australian high commission. Much of the humour involved mocking Australia and Australians, though Will was an acerbic and witty character who usually was able to respond to any insults made about him. Will's love interest, local florist Celia, was played by comedienne Joanne Gibbons. The show ended after three series.
