Abu Grew up in Jordan, located in the middle east, coming from the Arab American culture. He is cousins with other WSW Superstar Young Suicide. They moved to North America soon after his birth, leaving Jordan behind. He broke into the wrestling business by his cousin, who trained him. He was offered a contract with WSW, but stood in the Development camp for 2–3 years.
