Lena tells Henry that George and Yates have disappeared from the village. When Rosemary offers to help James clear out the cottage he's moving into, Sam tells James that the cottage is haunted trying to unnerve Rosemary into staying away. Henry and Amos disagree over what to charge those who stay at The Woolpack. Tom invites Annie to dinner and is pleased when she accepts. The licensees of three pubs in the area including The Malt Shovel and The Black Horse arrive at The Woolpack for an association meeting where Amos is elected as chairman. Sam is disappointed to find out that Matt is being considered for Church Warden.
