Hillhead is a district in Glasgow's west end. It is bordered by North Kelvinside to the north, Yorkhill to the south, Dowanhill to the west and Woodlands to the east. It is one of the most vibrant areas with Glasgow University and Byres Road's fashionable pubs attracting people to the area. Housing is almost all tenements from the Victorian era although many of these were demolished to make way for several high rise buildings that the university built during the 1960s.
