Ted Martínez was a Navy sailor who was assigned to the U.S.S. Eisenhower and who helped Petty Officer Erin Toner steal two million dollars from the ship's safe with the unwilling help of Navy Lieutenant Mark Schilz. After the money was stolen, Martínez and Toner killed Schilz by stabbing him in the chest before dumping his body in an orange mail bag. Toner used her good looks to keep many people distracted as she and Martinez headed to another destination on the ship. However, despite protesting her innocence, Toner was eventually caught, arrested and presumably jailed.
