The Battle of Drev'starn began with the Republic seizure of the nearby Starport by Alpha Company of the 224th Marine Battalion shortly after midnight. The second engagement of the Battle of Bothawui secured orbital control and allowed reinforcement by Bravo Company, and elements of the 223rd Battalion. By midday, the Republic had routed the Imperial defenders, who conducted an orderly retreat toward the Covepi'starn Pass with their forces and armor intact.
